The massive wildfires in Northern California continue to rage, and as of about 10 minutes ago, the fires had closed in on two marijuana farms in Sonoma County that were threatening to spark from the flames. More than 10,000 people have also been evacuated, with many others finding themselves unable to return home.

About 85,000 marijuana plants were destroyed in a massive wildfire that broke out in Northern California on Sunday, making it the second-largest fire season on record for the state. The fire, which was reported to have started near the Mendocino-Lake county line, was initially reported as being 40 percent contained on Monday. By Tuesday, however, officials said it had spread to over 1,000 acres and was at 60 percent containment. According to Marijuana Business Daily, the blaze has already been linked to at least three other marijuana grow houses located in the area.
