Cheba Hut, a marijuana-themed sub shop is now open for business in the Milwaukee area.  Other than its  unique  location in the heart of Milwaukee’s east side, Cheba Hut looks exactly like a regular sub shop.

Cheba Hut, a new mobile food trailer offering a selection of cannabis-themed sub sandwiches, has begun service at 2621 E. State St., according to its website. The food trailer is located in the former location of the Paseo Mexican Grill, which closed last summer. Cheba Hut is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Located at 1258 E. Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee, Cheba Hut unveiled its new digs Monday morning, promising to bring an “edible-driven” dining experience to the city’s east side. The new restaurant, which is licensed to sell marijuana products, serves a menu of subs and other fast-casual salads and wraps.

Cheba Hut, a marijuana-themed sandwich shop with unique sub sandwiches, desserts, a full service bar, and more, has launched its first Milwaukee location.

The restaurant debuted on Monday at 2907 N. Oakland Ave., which was formerly home to Blaze Pizza.

Cheba Hut serves over 30 different sub sandwiches, as well as Rice Krispie treats, salads, and other snacks.

White Widow, a chicken, bacon, and ranch sandwich, and Kali Mist, a turkey club with chipotle mayo, jalapeño, and avocado, are among the sandwiches named after marijuana strains. There is no marijuana in any of the items.

Milwaukee Brewing Company, Third Space, Good City, 3 Sheeps, and more national and local breweries will be represented at the full bar. Hot Box, Dirty Hippie, and Cheba Rita are just a few of the distinctive cocktails that will be served.

Milwaukee’s first franchise store was established by Heather Gawlitta and Robert “RC” Huhn, a local Milwaukee couple.

Gawlitta worked for the Franklin school system for 26 years as a teacher. Vikin Masek Packaging Technologies’ CFO and owner is Huhn.

“One of the things we like most about Cheba Hut is that it’s not simply a location where consumers can get a delicious sandwich. In a press statement, Gawlitta said, “It’s a destination.” “I’m thrilled to provide a new idea to the community that will make our workers desire to come to work.”

The Chuba Hut franchise is headquartered in Colorado and operates in 14 states. Madison was the site of the company’s first Wisconsin location.

The pair plans to build two additional stores in Milwaukee, according to Huhn. Cheba Huts have done well near universities, so they built their first site at Oakland and Locust because of its closeness to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, according to Huhn.

Cheba Hut will open at 10 a.m. every day. It will shut at 2:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and at midnight on Sundays and Thursdays. Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest days of the week.

In the midst of that large marijuana community is a fun little spot called Cheba Hut. This new restaurant has been dubbed as a sub shop, but instead of subs, this small eatery sells mostly edibles.. Read more about food near me and let us know what you think.
