A THC cannabis-infused brownie weighing 850 pounds has been revealed by a Massachusetts business.

The soft-baked brownie was created at MariMed, Inc.’s processing and growing facility in New Bedford, Massachusetts. MariMed, Inc. is a multi-state cannabis operator.

“For many weeks, there were five to six individuals who were very focused on one brownie,” Ryan Crandall, the company’s chief product officer and senior vice president of sales, said on National Brownie Day.

The brownie, which measures 3 feet broad by 3 feet long and 15 inches tall, is perhaps the world’s biggest confection of its type.

Crandall said the team came up with numerous “innovative approaches” to ensure the centre of the large brownie was thoroughly cooked without scorching the sides.

Crandall said, “We eventually scaled up that brownie to the point where we couldn’t put a larger brownie in the oven.”

“We went out and purchased a large enough sheet pan to steady it,” he said, “and it required literally a lot of inventiveness to get it in and out of the oven, which was not simple.”

THC, which is an acronym for tetrahydrocannabinol, the primary psychoactive ingredient in cannabis that causes a high, is also present in the brownie at 20,000mg.

According to Crandall, marijuana has several health advantages, since it has been widely documented that it is often used to cure a number of medical illnesses, such as cancer, glaucoma, and other difficulties.

“We know that cannabis helps individuals with a variety of issues in their life, whether it’s sleep, pain, stress and anxiety, or just trying to relax in general,” he added.

“We believe that cannabis, more than alcohol or any other vice, if you will, has the ability to boost people’s spirits, uplift their emotions, and decrease inflammation in the body.” We believe that all of the cannabis research is still ahead of us, so everything we can do to help build wonderful products that people can include into their life and utilize on appropriate times is the route we’re going with all of our goods.”

He also said that it helped him cope with the symptoms of ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) while in college.

“I started into cannabis years and years ago, and I felt that it genuinely helped me throughout college,” he added.

“I was diagnosed with ADHD in college and was given a number of medications, but it wasn’t until I tried them all and learned that they didn’t work for me that I discovered cannabis.”

He began conducting more study on cannabis at that moment, he claimed. He discovered that it can be used as medication.

“I recognized it might assist individuals in a variety of ways,” Crandall added.

“We aspire to provide the best-tasting items that people will want to eat,” says the company.

Crandall also said that the brownie was prepared to celebrate the debut of Bubby’s Baked Brand, a new consumable.

Each single-serving bite contains 5 milligrams of THC and is produced with all-natural ingredients.

Crandall went on to say that the brownie was cooked to assist market the product and foster workplace camaraderie, particularly as the globe grapples with the coronavirus outbreak.

“We felt it would be a terrific chance for us to create something new and exciting for the team and the market,” he added.

So, now that the brownie has been cooked, what will happen to it?

Crandall said the firm is working on medical-grade brownies, but nothing is set in stone yet.

“We’re currently figuring out how we’ll handle the brownie in line with state rules,” he said.
